Hey you, get off MacLeod

The trip to see Alistair MacLeod was very enjoyable. My class did me proud. They paid attention and asked good questions. Al was speaking in the library and was a very initimate venue. It was our class and a few other people so Alistair directed most of his speech to our group. He read one of his stories (which he didn;t appear to be too enthusiastic about) and then spoke and answered questions. He enjoyed this quite a bit. I think all my kids enjoyed it as well. We got a class picture (the other guy in the photo is his illustrator. I'm at the back) and I got my copy of "Island" autographed.
